We use
QIP on UNIX. Not my particular choice as it would be *something on UNIX either
way as we have a rather long established large distributed DNS environment
already . That being said, while we have had some issues with it, it is pretty
much ok and I think most of our issues are/were configuration/management based.
I have heard people say "But what about secure updates". That is a thing to
think about but if it is a big fear item you can increase the registration
frequency if you still need to use UNIX. Personally I wouldn't tear up a whole
existing UNIX DNS structure just to use MS DNS. I would either use it as is or
looking into some zone delegation.

Hi, we are planning the upgrade from NT to Win2k 2003. Currently we use Unix DNS, the question is should I keep it just make sure it supports NDR records or replace it with Microsoft DNS.
Any pros and cons?
Thanks,
Juan
