I have done it a bunch. The only thing you have to make sure of is that
you run forestprep and domainprep cleanly BEFORE you try to dcpromo the
2003 server. It will fail otherwise.

 I suggest that you add the 2003 server as a member server, and verify
that you can manage it from 2k ADUC. Then run forestprep  and
domainprep. Then run dcpromo.

Has anyone installed a Win 2003 Server as a DC in a Win 2000 domain?  

Any problems in doing so?  I want to starting moving to W2K3 as DC, but,
management is worried that something will go wrong once I promote the
W2K3 server as an additional DC.
