"Much to my dismay" ??? GPUpdate works like a charm and is much less to type! So I've been more than happy with it for quite a while now (and 'much to my dismay' I still have to use the old method on some 2k boxes ;-))

If you remember under Windows 2000, when you made a group policy change you could enforce it immediately using the /refreshpolicy switch on the secedit command. Much to my dismay I found out this morning that doesn't work under Windows 2003 - they've replaced that switch with the GPUpdate.exe command line utility.
