Sorry about that ... Once I start the remote desktops short cut from my administrator tools. I then get the MMC panel with the console root tree on the left and under that is the remote desktop tree and under that is my list of servers (which has been thinned down until I get this to work) then I normally right click the server and select the connect option and that is when I get the error page that says action canceled. There is no delay. This also happens if I add the snapin to any mmc window. (anything else?)

[signed] Brian Desmond Ok but if it's a dll issue wouldn't that have been fix in the reinstall? Joseph Luptak If that was true then why would it work for a few weeks and then just stop cold? Also I will check and see if some how my anti-spyware has killed it some how ... (now where did I put that test bed for windows xp) Chris Neves Assistant Technology Coordinator Glendive Public Schools 900 N. [u] It's just a MMC pop up that I can tell. I don't see any Active X now that I've launched it here and reminded myself what it looks like. Me thinks some mmc dll got horked maybe? I don't use that console that much because if I remember right you can't wack off printers connecting [not that I've ever seen anyway] and it tends to draw a small screen which screws up the icons on my servers desktops [I tend to yank out stuff like services, event viewer and the like.
