Did you say that you can ping the internal NIC by IP address or name from a workstation?
If so, it would appear that you have TCP/IP running just fine, and you have some other issue. What you mean by "Internally, using normal network protocols, I see nothing of the server, AD, or anything." I'm not sure. TCP/IP is a "normal" protocol, and you can reach the server using TCP/IP. So, something else is up. What exactly are you attempting to do? And what's happening as a result? Please list any error messages you are seeing. Additionally, if you look in your Windows Event Logs, do you see anything that might help shed light on the situation?
