Neil, Just to let you know, both Sonar and Ultrasound are FRS diagnostics only, and work with DFS/FRS in Win2K3 R1. If I understand Steve's problem, his issue is with DFSR under Win2K3 R2.
The best diagnostic tools to look at for troubleshooting a DFSR problem are: - MOM - if you use it - the DFSR MOM pack is extremely helpful - WMI - if you can - DFSRDiag & DFSRAdmin (command line tools) Steve - try the last option, and let us know what you find from DFSRDiag on the replication issue as outlined. You may need to change it back so you have "the troubles" again for correct diagnosis... themolk. > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sent: Thursday, 14 December 2006 1:03 AM > To: [email protected] > Subject: RE: [ActiveDir] DFS-R Issue - 2nd try > > Have you looked at the FRS diagnostic tools available? > > I find FRSdiag useful for troubleshooting issues whilst Sonar and > Ultrasound are useful for monitoring as well as troubleshooting. > > Caveat: I don't know if these tools all work well on DFS-R. > > neil > > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Steve Comeau > Sent: 13 December 2006 14:45 > To: [email protected] > Subject: RE: [ActiveDir] DFS-R Issue - 2nd try > > Thanks to The Molk! > > We have 2 servers (members), one at each site that replicates between > them (no shortage of bandwidth at the University). > > We have 2 replication groups.
