You could take an ultra-cheap approach and write a perl script that
takes your schedule and job info as input (perhaps from an input file),
detects which platform on which it's running and executes the proper
scheduling command.
Unix has 'cron' and NT has 'at' built in. If you're just looking to say
'run job X at time Y' all those uber-expensive packages are completely
uneccessary (and in many cases are just pretty wrappers for cron and at)
and could be avoided by 45 mins of your time and a bit of cleverness
(perhaps you could get management to give you the money they'll save by
not buying Tivoli? :P)
