In this particular instance, I am dealing with Windows NT or Windows
2000 remote servers.

I need to be able to kick off a batch file or executable remotely from a
master server and have it run on the target server...  

I haven't found much that does this...

rsh or ssh or a server running on the remote computer (eg: web server
w/CGI
interface, SNMP, etc) - lots of ways depending on your needs.
