Depends on what OS your machine is. If non-NT you can type winipcfg at the
run line. For NT boxes type ipconfig /all at the command prompt. Or for
all machines go to http://www.whatismyip.com

Subject: Using my home computer as a server

First let me say, this is a great list. I enjoy following the posts every
day, and especially enjoyed the getrows with perameters. David Penton, you
do great work, and I enjoy reading your programming code when I can. Long
live MicroSoft!

My question is this: I run many sites on the internet, in quite a couple
of states, all of them small. I'm wondering if it is possible to direct
traffic to my home pc when I'm online. Just family, so traffic won't be a
problem.

Alternate question: To find the ip address of my machine, when I sign on,
I go to the start button, then run, and type (?) to view the ip address my
machine is using to connect to the internet. Is it sysIP?

Alternate Alternate Question: can I initiate an instance of winsock
between two computers over the internet from an asp page? As much as I
travel, and read, I haven't seen any information on this, is it possible?

Thanks to all on the list, your great!
Gjorge
