Ohio State does not have such a policy. Some units provide structure to their
employees, and our communications folks provide an "email signature" generator
that helps faculty and staff format their signatures like mine is below, as a
part of our "branding" efforts. But there are no requirements. I assume that
if there are concerns, it would be dealt with by the supervisor.

Subject: RE:[acupa-l] Email Signatures Policy

Clarification - after reading my own email - it looks as if I may be talking
about accepting electronic signatures. What I am asking for is a policy
regarding what you allow employees to put in their email signature lines. We
have some that are adding inspirational and not-so inspiration quotes and that
has prompted a discussion regarding the need for a policy.

Apologies for the murkiness!!

Thank you!

Good Afternoon from Arkansas where the redbuds and dogwoods are putting on a
show!

I am inquiring about policy for email signatures. Do you have one and will you
share it? Some of our employees are becoming very creative in that area.

Thank you,
