Hi Abigail, The University of New Mexico has anti-bullying provisions in its Respectful Campus Policy, including a definition of bullying. This policy appears in both the University Administrative Manual<http://policy.unm.edu/university-policies/2000/2240.html> and, with special procedures that apply to faculty, in the Faculty Handbook<http://handbook.unm.edu/section-c/c09.html>. We have a new Consensual Relationships and Conflicts of Interest Policy<http://policy.unm.edu/university-policies/2000/2215.html> that was issued a few weeks ago, which applies to students, staff, and faculty.
Good luck with your new policies and Happy Holidays! Pamina ___________________________________________ [cid:3E118306-AA66-4C70-B878-325C70C6B7E8] Pamina M. The former may be contained in policies related to curbing bad employee behavior in general, or collegiality issues. The latter may be contained in the sexual harassment policy, as it is at one of my former institutions. My institution would like to have both kinds of policies in place, and probably governing all employees, although currently the greatest concern for the institution (and for me, given my job) is about faculty consensual relationships with students they teach or advise. For both, we feel that an institution-wide policy makes sense and will be easier to get through the governance approval process. I would appreciate any links to either kind of policy.
