Hi Johnna
Josh, Dwight and I have a meeting scheduled to review our
policy<http://policylibrary.colostate.edu/policy.aspx?id=570> and see what
needs updating. Would you like to join that discussion?

Subject: [acupa-l] Student involuntary leave policy

Hi all-
We are working on a policy that will allow the university to involuntarily
withdraw a student if it is determined that the student poses a safety concern
or is a direct threat to campus. This policy would also encompass the situation
in which a student may be struggling and in need of a mental health assessment
and then a "stop out" time from the university in order to becoming healthy
and able to return to adequately pursue their academics. Does anyone have a
current policy of this nature that reflects the ADA changes regarding "harm to
self" issues. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Johnna Doyle
