Melinda, Our “Access to University Facilities” policy states that visitors or volunteers under 18 years of age must be directly supervised by authorized faculty or staff, including in hazardous areas and must comply with the University’s safety policies and procedures, including requirements regarding use of personal protective equipment. See: http://public.wsu.edu/~forms/HTML/BPPM/50_Safety_and_Security/50.20_Access_to_University_Facilities.htm

Areas might include laboratories, greenhouses, animal facilities, animal procedure rooms, and animal housing areas for example. Thank you.
