Hi Meredith,

We do not have a policy on bonuses/salary increases. As a public institution,
we are required to follow state regulations regarding compensation. What I can
tell you is that the state identifies a “line item max” salary for all state
appropriated positions. If our organizational budget allows, and as long as we
stay under the line item max, we have some leeway in awarding salary increases
(very rare with today’s static or declining enrollment) COLA’s and occasionally
a onetime bonus (a rare event).

Hi Meredith,

Our current policy is 15 years old and has recently been separated into two
individual policies, one for faculty and one for staff. The faculty piece is in
the final stages of approval. I’ll be happy to share that when possible.

Thanks,
Heather

Subject: [acupa-l] Policies on Bonuses and/or Salary Increases

Good morning!

I am looking for policies regarding the award of bonuses and/or salary
increases for additional skills/knowledge/award of degrees.

Additionally, if anyone can share how they differentiate a certification from a
licensure for the purposes of salary increases and bonuses, that would be
immensely helpful!

Thank you!

Meredith
