Do you still have NT domains? Your first sentence confuses me a little. If so - then just don't do it.
Otherwise, the most common issue I've seen is the one I discussed in a blog article (and it applies to Linux workstations connecting via older versions of Samba, as well): Wrappage: <http://theessentialexchange.com/blogs/michael/archive/2007/11/13/windows-9x-workstations-in-a-windows-2003-domain.aspx> Regards, Michael B. The long term plan is to merge with another AD to become one forest. The first step is to raise the function level. Could anyone advise me of anything to be aware of that would be important to know now before I raise Raise Domain Functional Level; any gotchas. We do still have some Win 95/98 desktops and some Linux desktop users. ~ NEW: CounterSpy Enterprise: Centralized Antispyware - #1 in eWEEK Test! ~ ~ <http://www.sunbelt-software.com/product.cfm?id=400> ~ ~ NEW: CounterSpy Enterprise: Centralized Antispyware - #1 in eWEEK Test! ~ ~ <http://www.sunbelt-software.com/product.cfm?id=400> ~
