The voice of reason! I, myself, use proprietary programs that are free, but
not Free like Acrobat Reader. xPDF doesn't always work. I also use Win4Lin to
run the odd Windows application and downloaded Microsoft fonts (gasp!) inside
of Linux. I suspect I'm not the only one that is gung-ho for Linux *and* uses
proprietary applications. The choice should be up to the user. I use Linux
because it is better, not because it is cheaper, and not because I can modify
the source code, since I know barely enough C to write a Hello World program
:P
