There's a little confusion about process evident in your post. When you
enable real time preview you're doing so to avoid rendering as much as
possible while editing. The hope is that your system will handle some/most
of your compositing with an approximation of the final result. The playback
may be fairly high quality or not, depending on the system and your
playback settings. When you hit enter you ARE rendering, and it works the
same way whether you have real time playback enabled or not. After a render
you always get a full resolution playback, because temporary files have
been written to your hard drive and are called up when you play back the
