I recently put together 2 systems for 2 editing company, both loved it, it's not the fastest but it does the job for them, the config was pentium 4 3.2ghz HT with 1gig 3200 RAM, 1 80gig c: 2 250gig (d and e), a dvd dual layer burner, matrox x10 suit (with premiere pro 1.5, encore dvd 1.5 and audition 1.5), roland ma8 speakers, regular keyboard, optical mouse, a tv/monitor, and a 19" monitor, oh, nvidia video card (the latest one)... They liked it so much they asked me to put another one together... I think best is look for people that knows about video editing in your town that can help you put a system together.
