Uh huh. Adaptec cards / controllers work (or are dead). I have a SIIG UW 
SCSI adapter which sometimes sees the drives, and sometimes not.

SCSI isn't cheap. If you're doing a lot of NLE work then you may well
get the advantage of multiple scsi drives. unlike ide, scsi takes multiple 
commands.
There is no question that scsi is clumsy compared to usb and firewire
but usb/firewire drives are IDE drives behind a protocol converter.
This is not the case with SCSI .
