Yeah, it's seem there is limited info about how to use it with Premiere
Pro, in fact, there's none.. There's software encoder for $599 or $8000
or hardware encoder about $4000 or so...

Also, anyone here is planning to use the new JVC-HD100 or the Panasonic
HVX200? What's your take on these?

Almost... Closed captioning is subtitles that are only visible with a 
special decoder.  In an NTSC TV signal, closed caption is encoded on 
line 21 of the vertical blanking interval.  Here's an FAQ page I found 
with Google on Closed Captioning... http://www.robson.org/capfaq/. 
Click on the "Captioning Overview" link to get good basic information on

captioning.
