The way i've been doing it: Duplicate all the pictures you want to use and move them into 1 seperate folder. In PS select File->Automate->Batch... From "Set:" choose "Video Actions". From "Action" choose the corresponding "DVD Slideshow" as your project settings. Choose "Folder" from the "Source" dropdown. Choose the folder with the pictures. For "Destination" choose "Save and Close".
Sorry I can't be of more help by doing it only in PPro.. but if you have PS, I think this is the easiest way.
