Dvd is 720x480 pixel So, it is almost 1/2 of dvd I don't think we have to really get too technical as my description is more about the 'pixelation' you will get by putting a vcd footage into a dv timeline project. The mother recorded the movies using her new Digital Recorder (I am not sure what brand). I have watched the video on Media Player on my computer and the movie looks fine. When I try to import the files nothing shows when I open the folder. The files are VCD files. I think that I have to change these files to MPEG files. I know this is probably a simple and common problem but I have searched for the answer to my problem for 6 hours and I am frustrated to no end. Can I convert the file? Do I have to purchase extra software to convert the movie? Can this even be done? I know that many of you are tired of such trivial questions, but you are reading words from a desperate woman!
