I want to thank everyone for their suggestions, about my jerky playback in the
timeline.
Here's all the suggestions:
1. Defrag hard drive everytime
2. Install AP on a separate hard drive and work from there
3. Make sure the settings are correct

I haven't had time to try capturing the video again, because of the Christmas
Holiday schedule and
activities. But, a friend of mine told me that this is the problem. And I
would like to see if anybody
on this list has had the same experience.

He has been a professional videographer since the 1970's. Anyhow this is what
he told me. He said the reason
why playback, and everything was so jerky was because my camera was still on
and connected to the computer via firewire. He said that, when I finished the
capture, I should disconnect the camera from the firewire, and then when I play
the video clip it will run smooth.

He said, that when your camera is connected to the computer and you try to play
a clip in Adobe Premiere at the same time, the software is trying to run the
camera and the clip in the monitor screen at the same time and that causes a
lot of problems.

Has anyone else ever had this problem or insight into the problem as my friend
explained it.

Like I say, I haven't had time to go back and try to tackle this problem, but I
will this evening.

John
