Hey, can anyone give me some advice here?

I've never had this problem before and i edit almost every day:

The AVIs in a new project play fine in windows media player, but
when I import them into premiere pro they are ALL misfunctioning at
almost exactly 4:58. There is a suddenly a still visual stuttered
sound as it continues to 'roll' for the full time. The avi appears
to be longer, but the visual and image is stuck. So weird. On EVERY
avi in this project.

Any advice?

I am running v7.0 on windows XP pro v2002, service pack 2, window
system 32, with my raw footage stored on a maxtor one touch IEEE
1394 SBP2 device (500gb). My system is Dell workstation PWS360,
Intel pentium 4 CPU 2.40 GHz,2.39 GHz, 1.00 GB of Ram. Total
size:111 GB, with 12 GB free,

I have other longer and more complex projects in PP right now and
the AVIs in them are working fine. I tried moving my pproj to the c
drive and it is the same. Unfortunately I do not have the original
tape here today to try to re-imput—but like I said the avis play all
the way through on other programs.

I did have someone working on my system recently and I am wondering
if I have a NTFS, system 32 sitch? The c drive says NTFS. I don't
really understand that stuffÂ….but I was wondering if I lost a
partition or something??? I don't understand.

I am zooomdvd on yahoo messenger if anyone has a moment to
help...thanks
