I always trust www.storagereview.com for their drive speeds, and
reliabilities testing. I never make a hard drive purchase without getting
their take on the matter.
When I worked in the turnkey VAR business, we went exclusively with IBM (now
Hitachi.) However, these types of things seem to come and go in waves, and
it seems every year a new drive is "en vogue."
