Matrox RT10 is really low end. I'm using RTX100. It's great with all the real
time effect and stuff. It speeds up my editing time (after so many tuning to
the system). However, they are dropping support on this card and pushing RTX2
(~$2000) and RTX2 SD (~$900 no HD support). Both don't say will support vista
yet. I'm sure they will be soon.

  Mike,

I saw an old Matrox RT10 for something over $300, but I have no idea
if it's so out of date as to be useless. I'm just looking into the
issue of video editing cards so my knowledge is more than a little
  limited.
