Just let me clear up a bit of confusion here, the limit is 10 mins (not 10mb) and maximum 100mb video file. I encode my video's for youtube with total video convertor and encode as xvid mpeg4 with 192kbps mp3 sound. ----- Original Message ----- From: SRICHARDS To: [email protected] Sent: Saturday, April 21, 2007 12:09 PM Subject: RE: [AP] OT - uploading video to YouTube
Hi David, Your assumption is true. Certain formats, will have less video/audio data, And therefore will become even more grainy or lossey, after any further compression. This affects both audio and video components, Each video that you upload at YouTube, has a 10meg file size limit. Sune's suggestion to upload your best quality format is correct. I was under the impression that the video had to be in a certain format to be accepted, but the poor quality of so much of their video made me wonder. The clip I have in mind is about five minutes long, and rights wouldn't be an issue for me in this case. David Hurdon At 12:41 PM 4/21/2007 +0200, you wrote: Hi! How long is your clip? Upload as the highest quality possible, and let them do the compression. I'd like to add that I removed my clips from Youtube because of the total waver of rights you have to agree when putting your work "up there". Sune!
