I'm authoring weddings to paid customers. So this is not just for hobby. I need
to author DVD with menu selection screens, different audio tracks and
multi-lingual menu screens. I have been using ULead DVD Workshop 2 and the
result is excellent. The reason I need to go to Encore is because of the BluRay
capability. I tried Encore 1.0 and 1.5 before. I am hoping Encore CS3 will be
better.. It's way confusing to use.

Seems like a lot of people dont find Encore very "intuitive". I became
frustrated as I didn't want to spend more time to get a basic understanding
of
the authoring program than I did of the editing program. I can see that one
could probably do a lot of higher level authoring but at a hobby level for
home brew I dont need to have a dvd with lots of options. As long as there is
a straighforward menu with some chapter points I am ok. As the gentlemen who
said "whats wrong with you guys?" said it takes some time and training to get
up to speed. I would rather spend that time on editing (thats whats "wrong"
with us IMHO). I think if I was making dvd's for a living I would have to
become encore savvy but unfortunately the intuitiveness of most adobe
products
( to me) is not a feature of encore.
