It can do plain old ordinary menus, and it can do fancier stuff like motion menus with animated thumbnails for the chapters, and things like an audio track for them too. I think it can do video backgrounds but I haven't bothered to try that yet, nor have I tried making my own buttons or thumbnail frames since it comes with a decent selection of them. If you want really simple menus, Nero Burning ROM can slap together real simple menus. Just start a DVD Video progect and feed it the DVD format MPEG2 file of your choice with one audio stream muxed with it. (The only thing I use Nero for is burning discs. The rest of their bloatware download is pure fluff.
