Both SD-H903A and RD-A1 are not available anywhere in the US.

Toshiba SD-H903A for PC and the Toshiba RD-A1 standalone. Personally, I hope HD-VMD smacks them both into the dirt. ;) It's cheaper* than either Blu-Ray or HD-DVD and has more capacity than one of them, slightly less than the other. They're also working on a blue laser version that will bury them both with TWO-HUNDRED GIGABYTES on a disc. All the theater and special edition LOTR movies on one disc? I'd buy that! To achieve smackage, there will have to be a recordable HD-VMD post-haste, as well as authoring/burning software support. *Remember that was the main edge VHS had over Beta! Currently, HD-VMD is attracting the smaller studio and indie films. Mel Gibson has signed on to have his productions on the format. The big studios are stubbornly sticking to just Blu-Ray or just HD-DVD, or casting their net wider for the biggest gro$$ing films on both plus standard DVD. __________________________________________________________ Never miss a thing.
