Getting close to "affordable". I don't think I want to be running out and grabbing one when I remember how fast cd and dvd burner's prices dropped. I have a book hanging on photography that says "if you are serious you will want a dc burner but that will set you back about 1000 dollars. Anyhow it looks like things are finally starting to line up in the home video department; its just too bad all the crap you buy along the way until that day comes. Anyone need an analog video camera with analog capture usb unit?

For Mac; FastMac has a couple out in the USD$500 range, and in Japan Logitec has an external drive out for $1000(USD). For PC: there are many internals available, but I'm amused that many are DVD burners that don't actually "burn Blu-Ray" discs. Careful!
