I wish it was that easy but there seem to be some points to consider and
taking care of.
Firstly this matter is well worth taking further as the eSATA speed is
considerably faster as USB2
and Firewire, apparently up to six times.
I wanted to connect my drive to the motherboard by using one of the
existing SATA cables.
Doesn't work as the plug is different. I am not sure whether you will
get a cable with a plug on one end that fits the socket on the MB and a
eSATA plug at the other end.
Checked about eSATA on the internet and "they" say that one has to
install a card to provide eSATA connections and the motherboard must
also be able to handle eSATA.
