You are quite correct Lee,

They did not tell me the problem was caused by a virus, I got the 
information
off the internet myself.
I did not want to go into too many details in my mail but can advise you 
now
that the problem has been resolved.

They told me to register a certain file manually which Windows did not 
allow me
to do and at that stage I got the error message.
They then advised me to turn down the User Account Control to 'never notify'
which then allowed me to register that file and everything works 100% now.
"Access denied" also makes sense now.

Apparently the User Account Control setting can affect a number of other 
things,
something to remember.

If I carry on like this I will soon be a computer expert ha,ha.:-)
