I used to struggle with a 1GHz Dell machine, so I dare say yours is a 'little' bit slower to deal with the transformation.
You say a virtual drive, do you mean in memory or an external drive? How much memory has the PC got? For MPEG2 you would need at least 1 Gig I would think. What operating system too? Loads of questions I know, but it seems to be pushing the limits with what I think you will have from a machine of that era. Regards, Neil.
