I'm very happy with it, the picture quality is good for my purpose, nothing professional just home movies, and its easy to use. At first I wasn't particularly interested in its 3D capabilities but after testing it a few times it actually works quite well on my Samsung 3D TV. I'm now trying to work out how to create 3D titles!
But as for editing, you do need a modern beefy PC to cope with the AVCHD compression.
