5 stores later... I got an FZ100 at last. Will do a thorough test tomorrow and see what the results are like, obviously concentrating on the HD video side to see what AP makes of it all.
Had to 'force' my way into an unopened store to get one at 199.97, but I think it will be worth it. Quite a heavy camera over the FZ28, so lets hope the extra payload makes better pictures. The store to look for is Currys/PC world for those in the UK. Get them to search for nearby stores if yours is out. Preliminary observations for those interested: Panasonic have changed the battery size, so no FZ7/8 or FZ28 series battery or charger will work. An HDMI socket is most welcome, but again, another change is the proprietary USB/AV out socket. (No standard USB connection.) Hotshoe AND built in Flash, manual/auto/macro focus dedicated button next to the lens, plus a 2.5mm mic/remote socket. This delivers AVCHD 1990X1080, 11 FPS burst at 14MP (Maybe less at full res if I know Panasonic.) Cheers, Neil.
