Thanks to all for your suggestions.

I am already aware of the "Reverse Speed" function.  My only specific 
requirement is that it look like a tape in reverse (essentially a Betacam deck 
without dynamic tracking) with the field lines apparent.  This convention is 
used all the time in broadcast TV and I thought there might be an on-board 
effect with PP 5.5.

Any plug-ins?  David suggested digieffects Damage.
