In addition, just about everyone on this forum uses Adobe Creative Suite's
version of Premiere, not Elements which I understand is an entirely
different program.

Now you are the most optimistic person I have come across.
You are not expecting to understand a program like Elements within a few
hours?

Anyway, to render your edited timeline you have to go to SHARE (I think
that is what it is called).
There you have to select what type of file you want to make and where to
save it to.

I suggest you start a small dummy project with a few clips and start
hitting all kinds of buttons
to see what happens and read the manual. That can keep you busy for some
time. You can not expect
anybody to take you through all the editing steps. - there are too many.
On a forum like this one can help you with specific problems only.

Good luck

Uwe
