I didn't really price out ready-made systems because I couldn't find 
one with exactly the components I wanted. You might try going to the 
Dell site and specifying a computer there with somewhat comparable 
components. I'd be curious what you find!

Part of the reason I built my own system is that I wanted to re-use 
my case and drives. I'd hoped to re-use the power supply as well, but 
had to upgrade from a 500-watt to a 750-watt supply to handle the new 
graphics card.

All in all a decent chunk of change, but nothing compared to the new 
camera and underwater housing to go with it.
