When I recently got my new computer I decided against overclocking.
I am generally against squeezing the last bit of power out of something
- that has
normally an affect on the life time.
I am not a computer expert but would be interested to know how much
difference overclocking really makes for editing.
If one is pressed so much for time, in MHO one should rather get a chip
withy more
cores (6 or 8).
Also, there are many other things like memory, graphics card etc which
have a bigger influence on the performance.
For me it is important that the timeline plays smoothly to check applied
effect etc.
The time final rendering takes is not so important, especially where
rendering is
done in the background when using Adobe Media Encoder.

Any thoughts please

Uwe
