Del, if I look in the GUI, I find 13 backups (of IS and Directory) going
back to February 28th. I think I figured out what's happening though. I did
not have any include statements in my dsm.opt file so I think it was taking
the default backup retention period for the policy domain which is 30 days.
I added an include statement in the dsm.opt file for the directory and the
information store specifying the management class I want to use. I will find
out if my suspicions are correct tonight after expiration runs.

Thanks,
Mark

Mark,

Each Exchange backup is not composed of just one TSM object.
So you are probably seeing the various "objects" that
make up the one "logical" backup. You can go to your
TSM Server and issue "SHOW VERSION nodename *"
and see the parts that make up each "logical" backup.

Your policy settings look fine.

Thanks,

Del
