Try using Dsmc archive -archmc=60days -deletefiles '/opt/file/directory/seven/layers/deep/log.*' (Notice the quotes). Your shell is proberly expanding /opt/file/directory/seven/layers/deep/log.* for you. -- Best Regards Emil S.
