Hi

I've got the following problem.
The following shows up in the activity log:

ANR8944E Hardware or media error on drive DRIVE1
                       (mt2.0.0.2) (OP=LOCATE, Error Number=23, CC=0, KEY=03,
                       ASC=14, ASCQ=00, SENSE=70.00.03.00.00.00.00.1C.00.00.00.-
                       00.14.00.07.00.20.84.FF.FF.00.03.20.20.20.20.20.20.20.0D-
                       .00.00.1C.A7.02.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.0-
                       0.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.-
                       00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00-
                       .00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00.00, Description=An
                       undetermined error has occurred). Refer to Appendix D in
                       the 'Messages' manual for recommended action.
11-06-2003 07:59:14 ANR8359E Media fault detected on LTO volume 000765L1 in
                       drive DRIVE1 (mt2.0.0.2) of library 3583LIB.
11-06-2003 08:01:14 ANR8944E Hardware or media error on drive DRIVE1
                       (mt2.0.0.2) (OP=LOCATE, Error Number=23, CC=0, KEY=03,
                       ASC=14, ASCQ=00,

And repeats itself, same drive same volume.
If this was a scratch volume then i think there is a solution for it because i've read
something about TSM still trying to use a scratch tape with media faults because it
cannot mark scratch tapes damaged.
Problem here is that is is a tape with data (q libv status) and i'm not sure how to
fix this problem.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

Thanks in advance,

Klaas Talsma
