TSM 5.5.1.0 Windows client backing up to TSM running on z\OS. The TSM client software is running on Windows Server 2007 SP2 64 bit.
A couple of days ago, the motherboard on the Windows client was replaced. Since then, scheduled TSM backups will not execute. That was the only change I am aware of on this client, so that's my starting point in searching for a cause and fix. Anytime the TSM client is started or tries to engage, the following error is written to the dsmerror.log: 05/30/2013 11:22:38 Boot path was not found. Assumed boot path as C:\ When the scheduled backup is executed, I also see this error: 05/28/2013 19:24:43 ANS1814E Unable to start the scheduled event 'NORMAL_DAILY' The first error is not documented anywhere I can find. The second is pretty generic, and doesn't have any suggestion as to how to fix this particular issue. >From the Windows server, I can see the C: drive. I have rebooted the server, >and it comes back up successfully. I have deleted the TSM software from the Windows client entirely, rebooted and reinstalled. Still the same issue. Has anyone seen any issue like this before, or have any suggestions other than reloading the entire Windows server? ----- Kevin Kinder State of WV
