Kevin, TSM tries to identify the boot drive, and if it can't, it writes that message about "Boot path was not found". However it should continue, and it will assume C: is the boot drive. Can you do manual backups?
The ANS1814E at first blush does not appear related to this. Try running dsmc help ans1814e for info about that message and see if the explanation for the message applies (in which case would be coincidental with the boot path message). Can you clarify the Windows version?
