There is the Self in everything. There are other concepts of soul called Jeevatma which is the person thinking of himself as a seperate entity. I think after enlightment, the Jeevatma does not exist anymore. The person does not exist. But the supreme personality exists in everyone and everything. The egg has a soul because consciousness is in everything.
