Yes ….. very much so.
In the western world,  many are robbed of the truth of themselves by
an endless  programme of delusion.  The delusion of materialism.   The
delusion that avoiding self is possible.   Politics, religion and
business all need to sustain their hold on the masses.   If you feel
unhappy take a pill, buy something, go some where sunny.   These all
suggest avoiding the real issue of self control and responsibility.
But then again if everyone became self-aware,  the very fabric of this
society would collapse.  And yes perhaps one day it must.  So those
who survive can start again.
The new era,  the age of Aquarius the water bearer (purification) of
human collective psychic.

Who knows ……….  change is the only constant.
