When your attention or awareness is focused on yourself, consciousness
is contracted like a lens. You "are" where your attention or awareness
is focused. When this awareness is shined back into the collective
consciousness, you "appear" to be alone and separate.

That part I get.
The second part about the soft light and maglite, I'm having a little
trouble with.
I understand the concept, but can't seem to find the correlation with
the first first part.

Anyway, that's my take, and as always ............ MHO.
