They say we cannot see the past and yet here it is, the light that shines on
this planet has travelled such a distance it is 8 minutes past its moment of
creation.

With a powerful enough telescope science thinks it will be able to see
primordial light. In a sense you and I are that primordial light, out on the
fringes of a big bang, perhaps one of many?

Logic, science and more tells me this picture before my eyes is an illusion,
yet at an individual level, my common sense view of the world is that "I Am".

Primordial light does not bend to the will of the individual, if I was in
charge at an individual level the first thing I would try would be to stop the
world and spin it back the other way.

At an individual level however, free will exists at the level of free will.
Just because we are not free to do some things does not mean we have no freedom.

Power lies in making distinctions, freedom lies in breaking them down and
transcending them.

I have the free will to make a declaration of free will, the power of my
paradigm lies in my belief that I make it so.

My loss of freedom in my apparent free will is the paradox!
