Hi, you're screamingly wrong.
There's nothing so-called about the hacker mentality. It exists. I live
it.
It encompasses a "ridiculous shrieking style", if that's what you want
to call it. I just call it "knowing who's right".
It also encompasses an "embarrassing lack of political sophistication",
which I guess is what you're calling the extreme political cynicism that
hackers show. Embarrassing to whom, exactly? To you, maybe. But I don't
care. Not to me.
They don't hurt the hacker image at all.
They are the hacker image.
